Technical Application Manager (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical contact between customers and Munksjö organization (Production, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality)
  • Understand, analyze and translate customer needs and expectations into technical solutions for industrial sites
  • Support customers in processing Munksjö products and optimizing their applications
  • Collect, analyze and resolve customer quality claims in close coordination with mills and quality teams
  • Actively participate in product definition, trials and follow-up together with mill stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with customers such as printers, impregnators, lacquerers and laminators
  • Monitor decorative market technologies, suppliers and competitors, and share insights internally
  • Drive innovation by contributing to the development of new products and technical solutions tailored to customer needs

Your profile

Education & Technical Background

  • Technical or scientific education (degree in materials science, chemistry, papermaking or similar fields is an advantage)
  • Solid technical understanding of industrial processes; experience in paper technologies or the printing industry is highly valued

Professional Experience

  • Experience in technical customer service, application engineering or a related technical role, preferably in an international environment
  • Background in printing, impregnation or decorative surface applications is a strong advantage
  • Ability to handle quality topics, customer claims and product development activities

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with a structured, rigorous and solution-oriented working style
  • Ability to manage complex technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
  • High customer orientation with strong listening and adaptation skills
  • Innovative mindset with curiosity for niche technical products and new technologies
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and comfortable working in a transversal, multicultural organization

Languages

  • Fluent German and English are mandatory

  • Location: Dettingen, Germany
  • International travel within greater Europe required (approx. 30%)
  • Direct reporting line to the VP Technical Customer Service
